Privacy Policy
At BACKTEE ApS, we place great importance on data security and confidentiality. This privacy policy sets out clear guidelines for the way BACKTEE ApS processes your personal data. The following explains how we use the personal information that you leave and/or provide when you visit our website, as well as when you use the various services on our website.
1. Data Controller and Contact Information
This website is operated and owned by:
BACKTEE ApS
Hagemannsvej 6C, 8600 Silkeborg
CVR 17702300
Tel.: 87 68 28 28
sales@backtee.com
2. Collection of Personal Data
You will always be informed when personal information about you is collected. The personal data we collect may, for example, include your name, email address, home address, telephone number and similar identification information, information about an online purchase and your navigation on the website.
When providing information, it will always be stated whether this is voluntary or necessary to carry out the requested action, for example completing a purchase in our webshop.
Your personal data is collected in one or more of the following situations:
- When you shop with BACKTEE ApS
- When you subscribe to the BACKTEE ApS newsletter
- When you join the BACKTEE ApS customer club (online)
- When you participate in one of BACKTEE ApS competitions
Even if you use your email address in more than one of the above situations, your information is only collected and registered in one place. This means that your information can, for example, be reused when you shop with us, while also avoiding receiving the same marketing material from BACKTEE ApS multiple times.
3. Use of Personal Data
Personal data is collected and used for the following purposes:
Private customers:
We only use your email address as part of processing your order and for conducting any customer surveys. If you wish to receive our newsletter, this requires your specific consent.
We do not use your telephone number to contact you for sales purposes. We only contact you by telephone if we need to provide a service message, e.g. if there are problems with your order/purchase.
Your credit card information is sent directly and encrypted to our payment provider and is therefore not stored in BACKTEE's system. We use the online payment provider, Pensopay
For enquiries from you both before and after purchase, including in connection with complaint handling, we use your information to identify your case.
Please note that the use of your personal data for sending marketing material only takes place if you have previously given your explicit consent, unless the law allows us to contact you without you first giving your consent.
BACKTEE ApS may in some cases use data for marketing on Google, LinkedIn or Facebook.
BACKTEE ApS keeps statistics on which areas of the website our users visit and which products are the users' preferred products. This data does not contain personal data. The collected data provides insight into users' use of the website. This information is used to improve the website. We also use data on all our users' navigation to understand how our users, as a collective group, use www.backtee.dk, and on this basis we seek to improve the website. We cannot see where you come from or where you browse on the Internet when you leave our site. In addition, we collect information about which products our users, as a collective group, prefer. This information is also used to improve the website. We do not sell or otherwise disclose information about our users' use and navigation on our website. Nor do we sell or disclose your purchase information to third parties.
When subscribing to our newsletter, you accept that your email address is registered, as well as your name, gender, etc., if you choose to enter these. We use information about your email address to send newsletters. We use the information to tailor the content of the newsletters to the recipients' profiles. BACKTEE's processing is based on your consent, cf. Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. If you withdraw your consent, we will delete your email address and any other information you may have provided to us in this connection from our mailing list, and you will no longer receive newsletters from us. We use an external service to send newsletters. The service records how many and who open the newsletter, when the newsletter is opened (date and time), and which links are clicked, whether this is done from a mobile device or a browser, and the operating system. We use this information to analyse which pages newsletter readers click through to and, on this basis, plan future newsletters. We delete the reports and the underlying data after 1 year. Our processing is based on our legitimate interest in being able to plan future newsletters based on the information collected, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (the balancing of interests rule).
Your personal data will be stored in BACKTEE´s system. Your data is stored securely with our hosting partners. The processing of your personal data is necessary to fulfil your order, which is the legal basis. We store your data for 5 years after your purchase. We retain your data for the period that is relevant and for the period required under specific legislation – e.g. your right to make a complaint pursuant to the Danish Sale of Goods Act.
Business:
The purpose of processing personal data in business relationships is to establish a customer, dealer and supplier relationship, including entering into contracts, registration in IT systems, placing and fulfilling orders, handling settlement matters and general bookkeeping. As with private customers, your information will be used and collected for the same purposes. In addition, contact information for the contact person will be stated when issuing an invoice.

We also protect the confidentiality and authenticity of your data by means of encryption.
In the event of a security breach resulting in a high risk to you of identity theft, financial loss or other significant inconvenience, we will notify you of the security breach as soon as possible.
