2. Important Notice

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ORDERING PRODUCTS FROM THE ABOVE-MENTIONED WEBSITES.

These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply whenever you place an order or purchase products on the website. The terms may be updated from time to time (for example, to reflect changes in technology, our business model, system capabilities, or relevant laws and regulations). Therefore, we ask you to accept the terms each time you shop with us.

Any references to "you" or "your" mean you as the user of the website, and any references to "we," "us," or "our" mean BACKTEE ApS.

If you do not accept the Terms, you cannot order or purchase products on the website.

You have the right to withdraw from this agreement without providing any reason within 14 days from the day you or a third party, other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods.

The Danish Sale of Goods Act applies to your purchase, which means you have certain statutory guarantees for the conformity of the goods. Read more under "Defective Goods and Incorrect Items."

3. Ordering

The online store is open 24/7 but may occasionally be closed for maintenance. We strive to perform such maintenance during nighttime hours whenever possible.

An order placed on a public holiday will be processed on the following business day.

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase goods from the website and possess a valid credit card accepted by us. If you are under 18, you must have a legal basis for entering into an agreement with us.

We can only process your order if the delivery address is a residential or business address in one of the countries listed on our website. We do not deliver to P.O. boxes.

We reserve the right to cancel the purchase agreement in any of the following situations without being liable for compensation or other costs:

  • Your payment information is incorrect or cannot be verified.
  • Your order is placed with the intent to commit fraud or in connection with a criminal offense or other illegal activity.
  • An unintentional error occurs on the website, such as a payment error.
  • We have reason to believe you are under 18 years of age.

Agreements can only be made through the website [or by calling our Customer Service]. We do not process orders submitted via email, letter, or fax.

When are you bound by your order?

Before submitting your order, you have the opportunity to modify the information you have entered, including delivery and billing details or payment information. You can also change or remove items from your shopping cart.

Once you click "Proceed to Payment," you enter the payment module—at this point, you are bound by the purchase agreement. Please read more under "Right of Withdrawal."

If you made a mistake while placing your order, please contact our Customer Service—they are ready to assist you.

You will receive an order confirmation via email.

After the agreement is made, the rules regarding the right of withdrawal apply, as described below.

Access to the Agreement

You will receive an email confirming the contents of the agreement, including a link to these terms and conditions. We store the order confirmation for a certain period and recommend that you also save the order confirmation, as it will not be available on the website afterward.

Measures Against Fraud

To protect you and our other customers from fraud and to maintain a high level of security for online purchases, we may conduct verification checks. The verification check may include the data you submit when placing an order on the website, such as your address and payment details.

Security Codes (Credit Card Verification Number – CVV)

If you pay with a credit card, you will be asked to enter the card's security code. You can find the three-digit security code on the back of your credit card, usually on the right side. The security code is required to complete the payment and to maintain a high level of security. Other equivalent security measures may also be implemented.

Payment Procedure

When your item leaves our warehouse for delivery, the payment will be charged to the selected payment method.

Prices and Delivery

All prices for goods, delivery costs, and other charges are inclusive of taxes, VAT, and duties.

Delivery, shipping, or postage costs may vary and will be added to each order as indicated on the website.

Currency

Prices on the website are displayed in the currency applicable to your country. Please use the country selector at the top of the website if you wish to change your country selection. Your delivery address determines the currency in which you will be charged.

Please note that changing the delivery country may affect the price and delivery costs.

You can pay in the following currencies:

  • Danish Kroner (DKK)
  • Euros (EUR)

We reserve the right to cancel the purchase agreement in any of the following situations without being liable for compensation or other costs:

4. Price

All our prices are in Danish Kroner (DKK) and include VAT, taxes, and other duties.

5. Shipping and Shipping Costs

Items sent abroad are shipped with GLS, while deliveries within Denmark are shipped with GLS or DAO.
For purchases under DKK 1,000.00, a shipping fee will be applied as follows:

  • GLS Home Delivery (Private): DKK 69.00
  • GLS Business Delivery: DKK 49.00
  • GLS Parcel Shop: DKK 49.00
  • DAO Home Delivery (Private): DKK 49.00
  • DAO Parcel Shop: DKK 39.00

For purchases above DKK 1,000.00, delivery is free of charge. As a member of Club BACKTEE, purchases over DKK 500.00 are delivered free of charge.

Shipping costs are added to the product price and paid together with the product.
The total shipping cost will be displayed in your order before you confirm it and in your order confirmation.

6. Delivery

We deliver to:

  • Denmark
  • EU
  • Norway
  • Switzerland
  • USA

Items will be delivered to the delivery address specified during the order process. We only deliver to residential or business addresses, not P.O. boxes.

Your order will typically be delivered on weekdays, Monday through Friday. The exact delivery time depends on the destination country and the courier used.

A signature is required upon receipt of the items. This does not necessarily have to be your signature; someone at the delivery address (e.g., a family member, friend, receptionist, etc.) can sign for the delivery on your behalf.

All orders are shipped within 1-3 business days after receipt. During sales periods, shipping may take 3-5 business days.
Normal delivery time to addresses in Denmark is 1-2 business days after shipment. BACKTEE cannot be held responsible for delays caused by GLS or DAO.

BACKTEE assumes responsibility for the order until the time of delivery. Delivery occurs when the customer receives the package, for example, at a parcel shop. If DAO is chosen for home delivery, please note that DAO often delivers at night without ringing the doorbell, leaving the package outside the designated address. From this point, the package is considered delivered, and the risk transfers to the customer.

On BACKTEE.DK, we only deliver goods to Denmark. If you wish to have your order delivered to other countries, please select another language using the tab in the top left corner. If your country is not listed in the shopping cart, please contact us, and we will attempt to arrange delivery.

If delivery cannot be completed because the goods are out of stock or delayed for other reasons, you will be informed as soon as possible. You will receive an email from us when the item is dispatched from our warehouse.

Please note that you bear the risk for the item after delivery. If the packaging appears damaged, you should refuse to accept the item. If you wish to make a complaint about defects or damages, you must inform us; read more under "Complaints."

If your order consists of multiple items, we reserve the right to make separate deliveries. Separate deliveries may be necessary if certain items are delayed or out of stock at the time of order. You will be informed if your order is subject to separate deliveries. You will not be charged additional shipping costs for separate deliveries.

7. Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this agreement without providing any reason within 14 days.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), physically receive the item. Your 14-day right of withdrawal allows you, as a customer, to receive the item, unpack it, and determine if it meets your expectations.

In the case of multiple different items ordered in one order but delivered individually (i.e., separate deliveries), the withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), physically receive the last item.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (see contact information below) of your decision to withdraw from this agreement through an unambiguous declaration (e.g., by post, fax, or email). You may use the standard withdrawal form included in the package. Alternatively, you can use this standard withdrawal form, but it is not mandatory.

The withdrawal deadline is met if you send your notice of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.

Consequences of Withdrawal
If you withdraw fully from this agreement, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs, but excluding return shipping costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date we receive notice of your decision to withdraw. We will process the refund using the same payment method you used for the original transaction. You will not incur any fees as a result of the refund.

We may withhold the refund until we receive the returned item or until you provide proof that the item has been returned, whichever occurs first.

If you regret your purchase, the purchase price and shipping costs will be refunded via transfer to your bank account once we receive the returned item and verify that it complies with the withdrawal rules. However, the refund of delivery costs does not apply to partial withdrawals (see separate section below).

You must return or hand over the item(s) to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date you inform us of your decision to withdraw. The deadline is met if you return the item(s) before the 14-day period expires.

We recommend that you keep the postal receipt as proof that you handed over the package to the postal service/carrier.

You are only liable for any reduction in the value of the item resulting from handling other than what is necessary to determine the item's nature, characteristics, and functionality.

NOTE – We do not accept packages sent by cash on delivery or similar methods. Return packages must NOT be sent to parcel shops/lockers, as these packages will not be collected and will be returned to the sender.

Partial Withdrawal
If you wish to withdraw only part of your purchase, the above terms still apply. However, in the case of partial withdrawal, delivery costs will not be refunded.

8. Defective or Incorrect Items

If your item has a defect or we have delivered the wrong item, please contact our customer service. If the defect is apparent when the carrier attempts delivery, you should refuse to accept the item.

In the case of a defective or incorrect item, you can choose between the following options:

  1. Return the item and receive a refund for the purchase price and all delivery costs after our customer service processes the return.
  2. Return the item and receive a replacement for the same item once our customer service processes the return, provided we can deliver a similar item.

When contacting customer service, please provide your order number, item number (if applicable), and a description of the issue.

You are not responsible for the costs associated with returning a defective or incorrect item. We will refund the purchase price and the original delivery costs once we receive the item, unless you receive a replacement item.

9. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, this can be done within 14 days of receiving the item. To exchange, you must fill out a return form and send it along with the item. BACKTEE will send the exchanged item free of charge. If we do not have the desired item in stock, the purchase amount will be refunded as quickly as possible and no later than 14 days from when we receive the returned item. The only cost to you for an exchange is the postage to return the item to us.

10. Complaints and Appeal Options

If an item is defective or otherwise faulty, you have the right to file a complaint under the Danish Sale of Goods Act. You may file a complaint up to two years after receiving the item. You must file the complaint within a reasonable time after discovering the defect. Two months will always be considered a reasonable time for filing a complaint.

When filing a complaint, you must provide proof of purchase. To expedite the complaint process, please fill out the return form and send it along with the item and a copy of the receipt.

Items returned due to a complaint will be repaired or replaced within 7–14 days of receipt. If a replacement item is not available and the item cannot be repaired, the purchase amount will be refunded as quickly as possible and no later than 14 days after we receive the item.

Always send the item in proper packaging and obtain proof of shipment so we can refund your shipping costs. We will reimburse reasonable shipping costs if the complaint is valid.

11. Miscellaneous

Website Updates
We do our best to update the website and ensure that prices, offers, descriptions, and other information about the items are correct. However, spelling errors, pricing errors, and inaccuracies in offers or item descriptions may occur.

Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to comply with our obligations under these terms if the delay or failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control.

Personal Data
We treat your personal data confidentially. Please read our privacy policy for details on how we use the personal information you provide during the ordering process and while using the website.

Complaint Access
You are always welcome to contact our customer service if you have complaints about an item purchased from us. Our customer service can be contacted by phone, email, or regular mail. Contact information is available under “Customer Service” on the website.
